Dear Gentle Mountain Bike Folk,

We hope your winter has allowed you many pedaling adventures as we look forward to Springtime with great anticipation.

The cranking up of the Virginia Series 2008 is well underway with Dragon’s Back in its usual Daytona 500 position as the new season’s kickoff and the promise of the best mountain bike year yet. We could certainly use some help on that first Sunday of spring, April 6. We’ll have a great time in the national forest, and great weather is forecast all around. If you are able and willing to do things like register, marshal, sweep, etc., or no anyone who is, we’d be most appreciative.

We’ll be doing a pre-clean ride or two in March, weather willling, on 3/16, and then subsequent Sundays until race day. If that’s your thing, too, it’s rewarding and fun, and helps all riders who may not even race. A good thing for certain.
